Disable Facebook timeline in IE, Firefox, Chrome

Facebook Timeline was announced back in September 2011 at the f8 developer conference. The Timeline is actually a central location in our Facebook profile where we share our status, pictures, stories and much more. All our shared things are displayed chronologically in our Timeline. It is pretty customizable and lets you decide whether to keep a story hidden of displayed. Furthermore, you can also decide upon who exactly can see your stories.

Disable Facebook timeline

Although, the Facebook Timeline is loved by some, but there are still a few who don't like it and want to disable it and revert back to the older Facebook interface. However, there is no such option in Facebook but there are certain third party apps which can help you getting rid of the Facebook Timeline.

Timeline Remove offers the browser extensions which bring back the older Facebook layout.

The lightweight Chrome extension takes a few seconds to download and install. As soon as it is installed, a small icon lands on the top right corner of your web browser and removes your Facebook timeline then and there.

The add-on for Internet Explorer comes in a zip file. You just need to download and install it on your computer system and refresh the Facebook page. Do not forget to enable the add-on in your browser before your refresh the page.

The Firefox add-on comes in a binary file and takes just a couple of seconds to land on your computer system. Install it and refresh the Facebook page.

Overall TimelineRemove is a handy tool which disables the Facebook Timeline and brings the classic old Facebook look without changing it for the visitors of your FB profile. Once installed, the extension works automatically and lets you toggle ON and OFF your Facebook Timeline.

Download them here and get back the classic Facebook layout.
