Unlock Moonrea, a hidden feature of Windows 8, using BluePoison

Windows 8 developer's version is out hardly couple of months ago and almost all enthusiasts are betting hard on developing nifty apps for it. There are now many applications that can customize you Windows 8 within a click. Here comes another application called as BluePoison. This is an application that can unlock hidden features on Windows 8.

Looking at the layout of this application - it has 4 tabs: Downloads, Unlock Hidden Features, Themes, and Activation.

The Download tab is the link to download Windows 8 developer's version both 32-bit and 64-bit.

The Themes tab has a collection of themes and skins for Windows 8. It can also change the Start Menu background along with the Logon screen background. Applying themes require a restart, but is otherwise a simple one-click affair.

The Unlock hidden features tab can unlock Moonrea (a multimedia storage and creation utility using a metro interface) and has the ability to disable Windows 8's Immersive Start Menu.

The Activation tab is a vestige of earlier versions and is unnecessary for the Developer Preview.

The application requires administrative privileges to run. If you're not logged in to Windows 8 as administrator, right-click the executable file, select Run as administrator and enter the admin password to launch the application. As you click unlock hidden features tab, it shows you all the features that can be unlocked. You can select all options available to unlock all the features on Windows 8 the application.

Currently at version 2.1, this app has been around for quite some time now and the news of its existence has only just spreading. It comes with 10 pre-defined themes for Windows 8. It has an automatic update system.

Here are some customizations this application can do.

You can download this application from Windows 8 Italia. Apart from these, there are many more customizations and upgrades it can do, claims its developers.
